This iconic image is of the last original sign still hanging in Shawnee, Ohio. Shawnee was one of southeastern Ohio's Little Cities of Black Diamonds. Built around the coal mining industry, the town, sadly, died when the mine died. Shawnee is also the home of the union that gave birth to the Coal Miner's Union. This trip down memory lane is another wonderful work by Vintage and Americana award winning artist, Chrissy Mount Kapp.
This is an original painting in a custom handcrafted frame. No canvas or paper prints have been made of this painting.
